Eno-Oliteca Ombrone
Ristorante Ombrone, in Venturina
In the seventies, Beppe Bini decided to leave the restaurant l'Ombrone to his his son Giancarlo, but not before having made him experience working in a restaurant in Porto Santo Stefano.
Giancarlo, sommelier and an expert in olive oil, and his wife Graziella, for many years a teacher of the cooking school "Cordon Bleu", together brought prestige to the restaurant.
In 1994, Bini decided to sell the historic family restaurant in Grosseto: it was too large, and they no longer felt like continuing as hotel oweners. They moved to Suvereto, a medieval village in the hills of Val di Cornia, where they transformed an old olive mill dated from 1300 into a restaurant.
In 2008, at almost seventy years of age, Beppe decided it was time to retire. Francesca, the youngest of four children of Lella and Giancarlo, a graduate in theology, but always close to the parents, decided, not without the help of her husband Alexander, to acquire l'Ombrone and continue the family tradition. We are the sixth generation.
Now l'Ombrone has moved to Venturina with the name of Enosteria Ombrone ... Good wine and good food assured, as always!
